The China-Singapore Young Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce (CSYEC) is an organization for young entrepreneurs from China and Singapore. It aims to bring together elite young entrepreneurs from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, and to facilitate exchanges and resource sharing among the four regions in different areas.

Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia Talents and Enterprises Visited Guangzhou for Business Visit

In order to promote economic and trade cooperation among Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and to strengthen the connection of talents, technology and industrial resources across the region, Mr. Liang Wenjie, the Founding Chairman of China-Singapore Young Entrepreneurs' Association, led a business delegation of more than 20 people from Singapore's Lin's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hong Kong and Malaysia to visit the three core districts of Li-Wan, Yuexiu, and Nansha, Guangzhou, during the period from March 3 to 5, and to exchange views with the Chinese government. The delegation visited the three core districts of Liwan, Yuexiu and Nansha in Guangzhou. The trip focused on government-enterprise dialogues and industry matching, with a view to injecting new impetus into the China-Singapore cooperation.

The delegation visited the Guangzhou International Pharmaceutical Port (GIPP), which is recognized as the "international health industry aircraft carrier", and gained a better understanding of its global layout and innovative achievements. The Singaporean entrepreneurs highly appreciated it as a benchmark for the future of the healthcare sector.

In the following in-depth dialogue between the government and enterprises, Mr. Liu Tejian, Party Secretary of Liwan Bureau of Commerce and Investment Promotion, introduced Liwan's regional advantages, industrial planning and policy dividends, and emphasized the "business + technology" double-wheel-drive strategy. Subsequently, representatives of outstanding entrepreneurs from Liwan District and the delegation held in-depth discussions on business and trade cooperation, layout of the health industry, technology empowerment and other topics, and explored opportunities for cooperation.

Mr. Lim Jen Kiat, President of Singapore Lim's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "Liwan's industrial base and policy support have built a 'golden bridge' for Chinese and Singaporean enterprises.

Yuexiu Station: Talent Gathering - Wisdom for the Future

The China-Singapore Young Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Lin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Yuexiu District Young Entrepreneurs Association visited the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Talent Port, where they were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Greater Bay Area's achievements in the areas of talent attraction, nurturing, and innovation in services through the panoramic sand tablets, policy panels, and the digitalized interactive system. Mr. Du Wei, Deputy Director General of the Guangdong Talent Service Bureau, had a cordial exchange with the entrepreneurs present at the event. The entrepreneurs remarked, "Guangzhou's talent service model is worthy of reference for the Southeast Asian market."

At the meeting, Mr. Ma Hongmin, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee of Yuexiu District and Secretary of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of the District, led a team to attend the meeting and discuss cooperation with representatives of the China-Singapore Young Entrepreneurs General Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Lin Chamber of Commerce and Yuexiu District Youth Chamber of Commerce. Secretary Ma Hongmin proposed three major directions of cooperation: "Going out" to expand the market, encouraging enterprises to lay out the Southeast Asia and "One Belt and One Road" markets with a global vision; "Bringing in" to enhance the effectiveness, leveraging on Yuexiu's financial, business and trade strengths, attracting foreign capital to land in the field of digital technology and big health; and "Building a platform" to promote the linkage, building a cross-border incubator to support the incubation of the innovative projects of the young entrepreneurs.

The delegation also visited the exhibition hall of benchmark enterprises of Yuexiu Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, experienced AI+Medical, AI+Education and other scenarios of application, and had in-depth communication and discussion between the two sides.

In the following high-level government-enterprise seminar, Mr. Chen En, Standing Committee Member of the Committee of Yuexiu District and Vice Mayor of Yuexiu District, introduced the investment promotion policies, data cross-border and technology certification of Yuexiu District, and the enterprises of the delegation also raised their concerns about the cross-border flow of data and the demand for mutual recognition of technology standards. Mr. Leung Man Kit and Mr. Lim Jen Kit, President of Singapore Lim's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "Yuexiu's pragmatic policies and industrial ecology have shown us the 'Bay Area Temperature' behind the 'Bay Area Speed'.

Nansha Station: attracting investment, drawing a new blueprint for the Bay Area

The delegation participated in the "New Agenda for Nansha - Accelerating the Way Forward" Investment Promotion Seminar in Nansha District on the 5th of May. Mr. Huang Xinyu, Director of the Economic Development Office of Nansha Street, emphasized in his speech, "Nansha is deepening the reform of foreign investment and helping enterprises to move forward with a light load by means of 'one-stop' service.

Mr. Leung said, "In the future, we will establish a regular exchange mechanism to promote reverse visits and facilitate the landing of projects." Mr. Lam Yan Kit said, "This trip has shown us the openness and vitality of Nansha and the dividends of its policies. Cooperation in areas such as e-commerce, technology, energy and bulk trade will be accelerated".

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Bay Area Digital Innovation Center and Yide International, where the Singaporean entrepreneurs highly recognized Nansha's business environment of "internationalization and rule of law".
