Million Young People Look at the Motherland Hong Kong Young People's In-depth Study Tour in Guangzhou Discovering New Opportunities in the Bay Area
Twenty Hong Kong youths visited Guangzhou for a two-day in-depth study tour organized by the Greater Bay Area Youth Federation. Some participants said that through the study tour, they had not only witnessed the rapid development of Guangzhou in the fields of innovation and culture, but also gained a deeper understanding of the vast room for development provided by the Greater Bay Area. Some participants also said that they would consider developing their career in the Greater Bay Area in the future.
Funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and co-organized by the China-Singapore Young Entrepreneurs' Association, the event, which aimed to enable Hong Kong youths to experience the development potential of the Greater Bay Area, was held on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
Mr Wu Hok-ming, Chairman of the Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Association, said that similar activities would continue to be organized to promote exchanges between young people of the two places and help Hong Kong young people grasp the development opportunities of the country. Mr. Leung Man-kit, Vice Chairman of the Association, stressed that he hoped that through these field trips, more young people would be inspired to join the development of the Greater Bay Area.
The China-Singapore Young Entrepreneurs' Chamber of Commerce (CYEC) said that the study tour has successfully built a platform for exchanges and enabled Hong Kong young people to gain a deeper understanding of the development of the Greater Bay Area, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
Among the highlights of the program, in terms of entrepreneurship support, we visited the Hong Kong-Taiwan-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Base in Huilong to learn about the support policies for youth entrepreneurship in the region. In terms of technological innovation, we visited the 1906 Science Park to witness the achievements of the transformation of old districts in innovation and technology. On cultural experience, we visited the White Goose Pool Art Center to appreciate the exhibition of Lingnan culture, which is a fusion of tradition and modernity. On digital economy, we visited the headquarters of WeChat to explore the development prospect of the Internet industry. On talent policy, learn about the latest talent support measures at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Talent Port.
